The Chamber acts on issues which affect your ability to do business in the Loveland area. In 2006, the Board of Trustees took a position on a state issue against a constitutional amendment to increase the minimum wage with a built-in yearly accelerator, and the requirement of additional record keeping on the part of Ohio business owners. The Board also authorized the establishment of a website, called Loveland Business Votes, designed to communicate facts about elections, sponsored by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, and modeled after its own Ohio Business Votes website.
In 2005, the Chamber successfully defeated two local referendums, which, if passed, would have blocked the expansion of a local business. In 2002, the City of Loveland worked cooperatively with Cinergy Corporation (now Duke Energy) to resolve a decades-old summertime power outage problem affecting the Loveland area. The Chamber serves as a Guide to City Services and has advocated zoning requests for many businesses.
