The arts in Loveland have many faces and forms, from creative private individuals to nationally recognized artists and performers, who live and work in our scenic community.  Two successful local non-profits are the Loveland Stage Company and the Loveland Arts Council.

The Loveland Stage Company is a non-profit, educational, full-fledged community theater organization. Established in 1979, the theatre has presented over 60 major productions. Through the generosity of the Loveland Firefighters Association, an historic movie theater in Historic Downtown Loveland became the theatre’s center for performing arts. Open auditions are held for anyone interested in playing a part. This wonderful theater group also presents entertainment for various activities around town and awards a creative arts scholarship to a graduating senior in the Loveland City School District each year.   Visit their website for all ticket and audition information.

The Loveland Arts Council encourages local artists, fosters venues for residents meet artists, supports existing arts groups, and organizes three major events:

The Loveland Art Show, an outdoor festival at Nisbet Park in late September, features artists from all over the greater Cincinnati area, displaying and selling their art work.

In July, an Ohio Plein Air Society “Paint Out” brings artists to Loveland for a weekend of outdoor painting and an easel display of their works along the Loveland Bike Trail.

In February, The Winter Art Show is part in the Cincinnati Area Fine Arts Sampler.

Chamber member Loveland Artist Studios on Main is home to more than 16 artists.  Housed in what used to be a school and then a shirt factory, this wonderful old building has been converted into studios for working artists.  You can visit the artists, browse the gallery, and purchase artwork, jewelry, pottery, and fiber art on the "Second Saturday" of each month from 6 to 10 pm.  Light fare and beverages are provided.

Art House II is the working studio and gallery of Deirdre Dyson, a local resident and Chamber member who has built her career as a professional artist and instructor over 35 years in Loveland. Her studio is open at 430 W. Loveland Avenue, just two doors down from the Chamber's offices in The Bauer House.  Visitors are welcome when she is there, or by appointment (683-0349).

Be sure to check our Events Calendar for upcoming shows!
