Whereas the Loveland Business Association became the Loveland Chamber of Commerce nearly 40 years ago;

Whereas in November of 1994, the Loveland Chamber of Commerce became the Loveland Area Chamber of Commerce to reflect its growth;

Whereas the Board of Trustees of the Loveland Area Chamber of Commerce adopted a five-year strategic plan in July of 2008;

Whereas the strategic plan emphasizes organizational improvement, economic development and business advocacy;

Whereas the Board of Trustees and Staff of the Loveland Area Chamber of Commerce have invested in its organizational improvement;

Whereas the Board of Trustees and Staff of the Loveland Area Chamber of Commerce

recognize that in its first 40 years it developed and maintained many activities outside its scope;

Whereas the Board of Trustees and Staff of the Loveland Area Chamber of Commerce acknowledge years of event-driven community focus;

Whereas the Board of Trustees recognizes that the purpose of a chamber of commerce is to provide and support opportunities for greater returns on investment for area businesses;

Whereas the Board of Trustees further recognizes that the purpose of a chamber of commerce is to create an environment that encourages private-sector risk-taking;

Whereas the Board of Trustees declares the importance of maintaining its focus on business;

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Loveland Area Chamber of Commerce, Hamilton County, Ohio

1)      to declare its vision statement to be “Grow Your Business” and

2)      to focus their resources on “The Commerce Initiative.”
